The HOTTeR West program addresses the rising incidence of hepatocellular cancer (HCC) due to increasing prevalence of chronic viral hepatitis in Australia. The program aims to support patients and health professionals manage chronic disease that contributes to increased risk of HCC.

Patients play a central role in the HOTTeR West program. The team coordinating the program have developed a range of resources specifically aimed at these patients. The resources provide valuable information on Hepatitis B, and managing HCC. Video resources are available for patients and their carers in English, Cantonese, Mandarin and Vietnamese.

Health care providers are pivotal in supporting patients participating in the HOTTeR West program. As such the program coordinators have developed a range of resources to support participating health professionals. The resources provide valuable information on the HOTTeR West Program, supporting patients with Hepatitis B.

HOTTeR West is abbreviated name of the HCC Outcome improvements Through Translational research in WESTern Sydney Project. To make it easier to remember we call it the Liver Wellness Program. In order to support patients who are participants in the HOTTeR West project, the team coordinating the project have developed a welcome pack containing useful information.
